Your Opinion Wanted-What should really be done to child molesters?

i have not tried to hide my past as a victim of this, but this is always an area that i have to fight my personally feelings as to what should be done to child molesters.

they ruin lives, scar an individual for a lifetime!.

should they be incarcerated for life, castrated, turned over to the family member(s), public humiliation like a branding everywhere they go, tortured and or death penality?.

It is a known fact that there is NO REHABILITATION that works for pedophiles. IF the death penalty seems too harsh, then castrate them. I would prefer the death penalty. Why should a predator of that sort be allowed to roam freely in a society so geared toward child welfare? I have always wanted to hear from those who are against the death penalty in these cases. Why should they be allowed to live, or freed after "paying their dues"? The victim is never free from his/her memories. Why should the perpetrator be allowed to go free?

Guilt over how I acted when I was disfellowshipped-moment of weakness

i am hoping someone here can offer some wisdom on how i can deal with my guilt.

when i was disfellowshipped a few years ago i acted like a maniac afterwards.

i did and said things to my then girlfriend and other witnesses that i truly regret.

If family is so important, as it is with many, then get back in and then fade. At least then you can have the family and leave on your terms. You will then be free to pursue other friendships away from the borg while keeping contact with the family. Move to another hall and let them believe you are still regular. I am in a similar situation. My family on both sides(mine and my wife) including my wife, are still dubs. I don't go unless out of town with family that is going. I only go to assemblies and the occasional meeting. Causes a little stress at home, but not enough to make me go back. It is not really that hard to do. Most dubs want to believe you are doing well-so let them think what they want. They will anyway. Singlemindedness toward their beliefs is the only thing they are good at. So if they believe you are doing well, then life is good.

As for your actions while out, get back in and apologize profusely for those actions. That would not be a lie. It sounds as if going back would be your best bet until you are strong enough to face the reality that is the dubs: Their whole belief system is based upon a fabrication and nothing short of divine intervention will ever make them go away. As long as there are unhappy people looking for a way out of their bad life, there will be dubs. The more convinced they are about how bad the world is, the stronger their faith in the WTBS.

Look again Jourles. Video 1 shows the plane enter fron the right on the grass at 1:26 into the video. Video 2 shows the plane enter from the right on the grass at :26 into the video. It is clearly seen as it strikes the ground. The next frame shows the explosion.

Specific banned shows, songs, etc...?

i know the society tells people not to listen to rock n roll cause its from teh satan, not to watch r rated movies because they're "worldly", etc.

but i was wondering if folks had any specific instances where one song, one show, one movie, or whatever was singled out as being particularly 'evil', and banned on an individual basis?

i was never a jw, but was in the worldwide church of god...the two are rather similar, i've seen many (and made quite a few myself) comparisons on the board; and i can remember as a child that every once in a while certain things would get brought up as being more evil and worldly than others.. examples of specific bans:.

I tend to agree. They only had to remove 1/2 my brain before I could get to this level of happiness! I don't know what I thought I was doing walking around with all those extra brain cells making me think. If it wasn't for those of us with Reasoning Difficulties, there would be no need for this type of procedure. They got "New Light" at just the right time.

I think the greatest part of the deal is that now I don't have to spend any money getting a college degree to help with counseling ones in the faith who are having trouble in their personal lives. After only 2-3 years as a Ministerial Servant, I'll qualify to be able to provide this counsel to the down hearted and those who have suffered terrible abuse at the hands of other friends. If only I would have gotten this help sooner, I would have been able to save so much reproach heaped on the Organization by being able to help these ones to see that all these things need to be kept personal and in the Congregation without the need to have any civil action brought against our dear brothers. Only with the help of these untrained counselors is God's spirit able to act on these ones to change the error of their ways. How good and wonderful it is to be one of God's chosen followers.

I just wanted to share with all of you on this forum my newfound joy. Thanks to a new understanding by the FDS, they are able to provide to certain ones of us a lobotomie free of charge! She convinced me that it was for the good of the family and that when it was over, I would be quite happy.

Long story short, I had mine done last Friday. Spectacular! I have never been so happy! You can go to wernerbiblecommentary.org. This is a site that is updated with commentaries on different books of the bible including Revelation. It is written by a man who left Bethel almost 30 yrs ago during the inquisition. He was a researcher and writer prior to leaving. His current views are much different than what is being vomited into the WTS publications. He bases his commentaries on the original wording from the ancient Greek and Hebrew texts of the bible, and uses the best translation into english from whatever bible that has that particular passage translated most accurately. You do not need to sign in when you get to the webpage. Just click on the links and go. It is not a commercial site, just a site for those looking for accurate commentaries on the bible. The sign-in is for the site administrator and for him to update his commentaries.
